Plasuzat New !

Discover La Plasuzat: 60 km with 2200 m of positive elevation gain.

La Plasuzat is the first route of the 2024 Ariégeoise VTT to take you out of your comfort zone.

Until km 21, the route is identical to that of La Caminole. Then, you will discover a new valley.

After a short descent, you’ll deserve the second refreshment stop at km 24, with 1000 m of positive elevation gain. After refueling, follow the bottom of this valley until you reach a small village steeped in history. Then, get ready for the second big effort of the day: a 6 km climb with 500 m of positive elevation gain.

The volunteers at the third refreshment stop will be waiting to satisfy your hunger. Be mindful of the high-altitude trails, although picturesque, they can be treacherous. The landscape will reward you, with views of Roc Blanc, Pic du Midi, the 3000 m peaks of the Ariège Pyrenees, and the St Barthélémy massif.

You will then join the previous routes to enjoy the magnificent descents towards Ax-les-Thermes.

The novelty in 2024: a cable car ascent to the Ax les 3 domaines resort. You can then enjoy a sumptuous 8 km descent without great difficulty to reach the finish line.

A very good physical preparation will be necessary to complete this route.
